Florida keeps most jail and inmate information open to the public, but that openness does not make a search simple. The hard part is figuring out which agency holds the person you are looking for. We sort that out in plain terms. The Broward Sheriff's Office runs the county jail roster, which covers people held before trial and those serving short sentences. The Florida Department of Corrections runs a separate locator for people sentenced to state prison. Federal and immigration detainees turn up in still other systems. This site gathers those rosters, locators, contacts, visitation details, and request steps into one place so a single page can point you the right way.
